Make your wedding or renewal ceremony an exciting event on a remote beach in Hawaii! Makapu'u Beach Park, located just 45 minutes from Waikiki, across from Sea Life Park, is an idyllic setting for your special day. There is ample parking, restrooms and sites among the rocks, on coarse sandy beaches, on sand dunes, near a Hawaiian Heiau (Temple) and up in a coconut palm grove. The site is frequented by surfers, body-boarders, fishermen & others. However, we can usually find a part that is not too populated so you get some degree of privacy. The park has a small point jutting our from shore and the backdrop is the awesome heights of the Ko'olau Mountains. This is the sunrise side of the island so the sun "sets" over the hill late afternoons. Sunrises can be awesome from this location. There is no protection from wind & weather.
